ENGAGE.EU has reason to celebrate: Approval of new funding period

The European Commission has announced that the European University Alliance ENGAGE.EU will receive funding until 2027.

With a total funding amount of 14.4 million Euro, ENGAGE.EU is entering its second funding period. It was a lot of work to set up this alliance. Without the extraordinary support and commitment of all those involved, this success would not have been possible.

Three years ago, the University of Mannheim became the coordinating university of this alliance of at first seven and then nine European universities. With the new funding period, the alliance will continue for another four years. During the last months, we continued to further develop and restructure ENGAGE.EU and are looking forward to our new tasks. The three pillars of teaching, research and transfer of knowledge on economically and socially relevant topics remain the core activities of ENGAGE.EU, but with a new focus. The doctoral programs for early-stage researchers, the joint programs on the master’s level as well as the extension of communities and work-integrated learning offers will be the focus of the new funding period.
