ERC Starting Grant for Jens Förderer

In 2023, professor Jens Förderer, holder of the Chair of Information Systems II at the Business School of the University of Mannheim, was awarded the European Research Council Starting Grant for his project “Fair Competition in App Markets.”
This research project aims to understand how the obligations placed on Apple and Google by the European Union’s Digital Markets Act impact competition and innovation in these companies’ app stores.
The funding amounts to 1.5 million euros and was granted for a period of five years.
