About the book:
The book documents the fates of 81 teachers, students, employees and honorary recipients of the Commercial College of the City of Mannheim who were suspended, dismissed or deprived of the opportunity to study in 1933. Renowned academics such as Otto Selz and Paul Eppstein are highlighted alongside the many forgotten victims whose lives were destroyed by Nazi persecution.
The University of Mannheim has researched these biographies in order to pay belated tribute to those affected and to make a contribution to the local and regional culture of remembrance.
