Examination Dates

As a rule, written exams are scheduled during the examination periods. Other types of examinations (e.g., oral exams) may also take place outside the examination periods.

You can view your exam dates in Portal². To quickly find your exam dates in the list, please see the quick guide.

In-person exams

If you go to the Show my courses tab in the My Studies section in Portal², you can see the schedule and the rooms of the examinations you have registered for. One week prior to the examination, you can see your seat as well.  For the attendance check at the examination, please bring your ID card and your ecUM. If you register more than ten days before an in-person exam, you cannot be allocated a seat. In this case, please go to the room indicated and show the certificate.

Online exams

A stable Internet connection is necessary for taking the online exams. To help you check the quality and speed of your Internet connection, the University IT offers a speed test. If the test reveals any problems with your Internet connection, you can write your examination in a room at the university. In this case, please send an e-mail to pruefkoordinationmail-uni-mannheim.de at least one week prior to your examination date.
