Welcome to Germany! To help you plan your journey to Mannheim, we have compiled a list of the different travel options you have.
by train:
If you fly to Frankfurt Airport, you can reach Mannheim via train (ICE, IC). The ICE or IC trains departing from terminal 1 (follow the signs “Fernbahnhof/long-distance trains”) take about 30 minutes to reach Mannheim main station (Mannheim Hauptbahnhof). by shuttle bus:
If you arrive at Frankfurt Hahn Airport (HHN), then your best option for travelling to Mannheim is taking a bus to Mainz and then change to a train to Mannheim.

Prices range from €15 to €20 and the bus takes around 75 minutes.
Upon arrival in Mainz you need to get the train at the Main station, which is a few minutes walk from the bus stop. There are different options for trains that take different amounts of time (between 45 and 90 minutes) and vary in costs (between €18 and €22), so be sure to book the right one to avoid being fined.

by foot (10min):
When exiting the main station through the main entrance, keep straight for about 200m, then turn left onto Bismarckstraße. Follow the Bismarckstraße until you reach block (Quadrat) L 1, across from the Schloss. The International Office is located in L1, 1.
by tram:
Exit the main station through the main entrance. Right outside the main station is the bus and tram station “Mannheim Hauptbahnhof”. Take the tram line 1 with destination Schönau until the station “Schloss”. The International Office is located in L1, 1.
