How to get here
From Frankfurt/
Main Airport (FRA) By train:
- Long-distance trains (IC/ICE) run directly from Frankfurt (Main) Airport to Mannheim Central Station.
- For information on train connections and timetables, please visit the Deutsche Bahn website or use the DB Navigator app.
- Due to construction work, routes may be congested, and delays may occur. Therefore, do not rely solely on the travel times provided on the Deutsche Bahn website. Plan a generous time buffer for your journey.
- If you have booked a personal check-in appointment for your room in the student residence hall of the Studierendenwerk, arriving late in Mannheim might mean you miss your appointment. In this case, you will need to arrange for alternative accommodation for the first night.
By bus:
As an alternative to taking the train, you can travel to Mannheim by long-distance bus. For details on connections and prices, please check the Busliniensuche website.From Stuttgart Airport (STR)
By train:
- Take the U-Bahn (subway, line U6) from the stop ”Stuttgart Flughafen/
Messe” to Stuttgart main station (Hauptbahnhof). - From Stuttgart main station, take a long-distance train (ICE/IC) to Mannheim main station.
- There are several connections with travel times ranging from 90 to 120 minutes.

From Mannheim main station to the International Office
On foot (approx. 10 minutes):
- Exit Mannheim main station through the main entrance and walk approximately 200 meters straight across the station forecourt.
- Then turn left into Bismarckstraße.
- Follow Bismarckstraße until you reach the Schloss.
- The International Office is located in Quadrat (block)L1, 1, right opposite the Palace (Schloss).
By tram:

4A/5/6 run directly from the main station to the Mannheim/ Schloss stop. - The International Office is located in Quadrat (block)L1, 1, right opposite the Palace (Schloss).
