Cooperative Study Program in Business Administration
Track of study: Digital Business Management (or Public Sector Administration)
Become an expert in the design and management of digital business processes. Students of the cooperative study program in Digital Business Management work at the interface of business administration and IT. They will design and implement digitalization processes and develop new products and services. Another focus will be on the analysis of business management processes and the assessment of holistic IT projects. At the University IT, you can expect to encounter many exciting challenges in IT and IT management at a future-oriented university. During the internship semesters and workplace training, you will be involved in current projects according to your selected subject-specific focus from the very beginning.

Start of the program: On 1 October of each year
Compensation: 1,400 euros gross per month plus a bonus payment amounting to 95 % of 1,400 euros gross for a 12-month period of study
Program structure:
- Alternating between three months of workplace training and three months of theoretical training.
- Workplace training at the University IT (UNIT): Among other things, you will be involved in the development of application software for our university. You will also perform tasks in the area of application support for the SAP system and assist in system support. You will be involved in the (further) development, optimization, and maintenance of our systems. Assisting in the optimization of our processes with regard to our digital way of working will round off the training.
- Theoretical training at the Baden-Württemberg Cooperative State University (DHBW) in Mannheim. For more information on the contents of the theoretical training, please see the DHBW website.
Required skills and qualifications
- You meet the admission requirements for studying at the Baden-Württemberg Cooperative State University (DHBW) and have a general university entrance qualification or a so-called “fachgebundene Hochschulreife”, i.e., a university entrance qualification allowing you to study a program relating to a specific subject (for details on the admission requirements, please visit the DHBW website).
- You achieved good to very good grades in mathematics and have a strong understanding of mathematics.
- You are enthusiastic about technology and information technologies, a team player, communicative, and curious.
- You possess an understanding of and are interested in finance and ordering.
- You show an affinity for IT systems and have a keen interest in how they work as well as in the configuration and further development of complex systems.
- You enjoy working in an innovative and heterogeneous environment.
