We continuously check our applications for information security and data protection issues and adapt the settings, if needed. In order to make the use of the Microsoft 365 cloud service more secure, we will change the login process for the employees of the University of Mannheim and will switch to Shibboleth on 29 July 2022. The Shibboleth process has a very high information security level and is already used for many services at the university. In addition to the security aspect, it is beneficial that the users can enter their usual access information and do not need to remember an additional password.
How can I login to Microsoft 365 after 30 July 2022?
Go to the desktop app or to https://login.microsoft.com and enter Uni-IDad.uni-mannheim.de (please replace “Uni-ID” with your personal Uni-ID). You will now be forwarded to the login website of the University of Mannheim. Just enter your Uni-ID and the corresponding password. If you are already logged in, you do not need to do anything. You can continue to use the applications.
