Sustainability at the University of Mannheim

Transforming the economy and society sustainably is one of the pressing global challenges of our time. Climate change, human rights violations and scarcer resources are just some aspects of this problem. The University of Mannheim, which has a profile characterized by the economic and social sciences, sees it as its task to help overcome this challenge. Our research and teaching can make powerful contributions. In addition, we also rely on research findings in our own actions and thus strive to be a pioneer in implementing innovative measures.

We are guided by research findings in making our own processes more sustainable. The effectiveness of the measures taken is the main focus. This is how we combine research and practice.
