Academic Speed Dating Event
Whether you are an established expert in the field or have had only limited exposure to it, we warmly welcome your participation. You may choose to attend as an observer, or, if you would like to present your own work, we have five available presentation slots (allocated on a first-come, first-served basis). The overall title of this event is: Exploring Frontiers: Data Science for Information Systems and Society. However, if you have other interesting data science topics to share, please feel free to present them.
For this semesters Academic Speed Dating we are inviting two professors from different faculties. The event will commence with a keynote lecture by Prof. Dr. Jens Förderer titled “Quasi-Experiments in the Digital Economy: Best Practices & Applications”. Afterwards, we will hear a keynote lecture by Prof. Dr. Sebastian Stier titled “Unlocking Digital Behavioral Data: New User-Centered Approaches for Social Science Research“. Following this, we will hear brief presentations from the participants and conclude with an informal discussion session during our get-together, accompanied by coffee and snacks. We are delighted that Prof. Dr. Florian Keusch will moderate the event.
