Gunther Glenk filmed for language software

The video contribution by Gunther Glenk on the topic of renewable hydrogen as an energy carrier of the future represents a content-related component of the film-based project of “daf-immersion.de”. “Daf-Immersion” is an international research initiative that seeks to promote German as a foreign language for students throughout Europe. The initiative relies on software innovations in the field of e-learning: with the help of film-based computer simulations, learners can be placed in communication situations that are close to reality.

Glenk's video contribution on the competitiveness of renewable hydrogen is part of the innovative educational project for students of the German language. The video discusses how hydrogen can replace fossil fuels as an energy source in many applications and become a central element of a sustainable energy supply. Due to the international social and political importance of this topic, questions of this kind play a crucial role in DAF curricula.

The project “daf-immersion.de” is a joint initiative of Crealang, Research & Innovation Oy (CRI) (Finland) and the University of Heidelberg (Institute for German as a Foreign Language) and takes place in cooperation with five European pilot schools, in complementary network cooperation with the Goethe-Institut, the Deutsche Welle (DW-Akademie) and the Deutsche Auslandsgesellschaft (DAG) as well as being supported by the Federal Foreign Office.
