In this virtual event organised by the Mannheim Institute for Competition and Innovation (MACCI) and the Collaborative Research Center Transregio 224 (EPoS), Prof. Dr. Martin Peitz (University of Mannheim, Professor of Microeconomics) will talk to Glory Liu, Ph.D., (Harvard University) about her forthcoming book “Adam Smith's America: How a Scottish Philosopher became an Icon of American Capitalism” and beyond. In this book Glory analyzes how Smith's ideas have been received, reinterpreted, and weaponized in the US.

The Fireside Talk will take place on Monday, 19 September, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. online via Zoom. The event is open to all and will be held in English. You can find the access data for the Zoom session here.
