The Joachim Herz Foundation will be accepting applications for its add-on fellowships for interdisciplinary science and transfer.

  • The fellowships are aimed at researchers in the early stages of their careers, including doctoral students, postdocs and junior professors, who are employed at a university or non-profit research institution in Germany at the time of application (or have their research funded there by other means, e.g. a full scholarship).
  • Funding is available for scientists working on interdisciplinary research topics of social relevance in the field of “Resources of the Future”.
  • The foundation provides funding in four disciplines: Business administration, economics, life sciences and materials science.
  • Fellows receive funding of up to 15,000 Euros for two years (to be used for e.g. travel costs, participation fees, conference visits, further training, hard- or software, data acquisition, funding own conferences etc.), and can apply for additional funding of up to 3,000 Euros for equal opportunities.

Additional information can be found here.
