Mannheim economist Volker Nocke elected Fellow of the Econometric Society

Founded in 1930, the Econometric Society is an International Society for the Advancement of Economic Theory in its Relation to Statistics and Mathematics. The Econometric Society publishes Econometrica, one of the coveted “top 5” journals in economics, as well as two other highly regarded journals. Fellows represent the highest authority of the Society. There are currently more than 700 elected Fellows worldwide, including many Nobel Prize winners. Only 14 Fellows (out of which 7 are emeritus professors) are based in Germany. There are now two Fellows of the Econometric Society engaged in research at the University of Mannheim: Michèle Tertilt and Volker Nocke.
