Orientation Events for First-Year-Students

At orientation events, new students have the opportunity to get their bearings on campus and make initial contacts.

The lecture period in the spring semester starts on 4 September 2023. Most of the orientation events take place in the weeks before. Even if you are not yet enrolled, you can participate in the events for first-year students. A range of general events for first-year-students, welcome and get-to-know-you events, and subject-specific events are available.

If you’ve missed an orientation event, you can use the video and sound recordings, if applicable. During the first weeks, many contact persons also offer special consultation hours and you can also contact your Program Manager and your Departmental Student Committee.

You can access some virtual events via the Online Experience Plattform of the University of Mannheim.
