Culture and Economy: History
Program ambassador
Why I chose this program
Culture and Economy as a course of study combines a core subject in Cultural Studies and a combination major in Economics or Business Administration. I chose English and American Studies as my core subject and decided on Business Administration as a combination major. In all Culture and Economy degree programs, you have the choice between Business Administration and Economics. In addition, there are additional modules in Business Administration or Economics that you can complete to deepen your knowledge.
History as a core subject involves the study of cultural systems and historical developments in society. The program focuses on the cultures and societies in Europe and the USA, and on economic, legal and social history. From ancient history to modern history – students gain an insight into all historical periods, If you choose Business Administration, you can attend courses on finance, marketing, management, business informatics, accounting, and production. If you study Economics as combination major, you will learn about statistics and gain an insight in microeconomics and macroeconomics.
I chose this program because this combination of history and economy is quite unique in Germany. This dual qualification in the humanities and Business Administration / Economics is not only the basis for a wide range of master's programs, but also makes sense from a professional point of view.
