Combining Work with Caregiving

Situations in which a child or relative needs care are often unexpected. They can be challenging for both the caregiver and the person in need of care, and can cause physical and mental stress. The Department of Gender Equality and Social Diversity and the Human Resources division have created a guide to ensure that employees in these circumstances receive the necessary support. It contains information on financial help, the legal requirements for family care leave, and practical support available in the region.

The Department of Gender Equality and Social Diversity also offers personal and confidential appointments where you can discuss specific issues. Please contact Ms. Jörns if you would like to find out more.
