Reproducible Manuscripts with R Markdown and Pagedown

Camille Landesvatter

Open Science Office

The seminar covers the basics of how R Markdown and Pagedown can be used to create reproducible manuscripts. It also discusses what reproducible manuscripts are, what features they have, and of course what the benefits are and why you should use this method for your own research. We will walk through small examples in R Studio and wherever applicable, appropriate tools, tips and tricks useful for scientific texts and publications will be discussed. To round off the session, I give introductory info on Quarto (“The next generation of R Markdown”) and a few of my personal highlights in this regard.
