Symposium in Honor of Professor Hans Raffée

“No power without responsibility” is the theme of a symposium in honor of the late business administration professor Dr. Hans Raffée, which will take place at the University of Mannheim on 5 May.

To honor the memory of Hans Raffée, the University of Mannheim, Business School, in cooperation with the President’s Office and ABSOLVENTUM Mannheim e. V. invites you to a symposium in the auditorium (Aula) of the University of Mannheim on Thursday, 5 May 2022, starting at 5 p.m. In line with Raffée’s ethical approach, the symposium will address issues along the central theme “no power without responsibility”.

The discussion will be headed by Karsten Kammholz, editor-in-chief at the local newspaper Mannheimer Morgen. Guests on the panel will be:

Prof. Dr. Traugott Schächtele, Protestant theologian, Prelate of the North Baden Church District of the Protestant State Church; member of the Broadcasting Council of Südwestrundfunk (SWR)

Bernhard Sibold, former President of the Head Office of the Bundesbank in Baden-Württemberg

The event starts at 5 p.m. Admission begins at 4:15 p.m. Wearing FFP2 masks will presumably be mandatory. You can reach the auditorium (Aula) in the Ostflügel through the main entrance of the Katakomben via Ehrenhof. Following the symposium, drinks will be served.

Please register by 27 April. Participation is free of charge, the number of participants is limited. The symposium will be held in German.
