In 2007, I completed my Diplom degree in Social Sciences at the University of Mannheim. As a student, I worked as a research assistant at the university’s Chair of Business Administration and Marketing II and later gained experiences as a working student in an advertisement agency in Frankfurt. I completed my doctorate in Business Administration (Marketing) at Mannheim and, in 2015, I was offered a job by the Baden-Württemberg Cooperative State University, where I have been a professor of Business Administration and Marketing since.
I was happy about the opportunity to gain insights into different fields at university. My ability to understand different academic mindsets has always been an advantage in my career. Whether you choose different subjects or seize other opportunities the University of Mannheim offers, such as the Studium Generale—I would always recommend you to gain knowledge in various fields.
The program at the University of Mannheim prepared me exceptionally well for all the tasks my job includes, both in terms of content and methods. In particular, my (doctoral) studies aroused my enthusiasm for pursuing a professorship. I am very grateful for this because I really enjoy teaching.
