Almost ten percent of study places in the first semester of our bachelor's programs are allocated based on the length of time between completing your Abitur and applying for admission to a degree program. If you are admitted based on this quota, you do not need to request to be put on a wait list. The waiting period between completing your Abitur and applying for admission is calculated in six-month blocks. If, for example, you go on to do vocational training after your Abitur and then apply for admission to a university for the first time, the time taken to complete your vocational training is included in the waiting period. Please note: Semesters spent enrolled at another German higher education institution are not included in the waiting period.
