Alternate Examination Date

There are two examination periods each semester. The main examination period consists of the regular examination dates. If you fail an exam, or are unable to take it due to illness, you may re-sit it on an alternate examination date. A medical certificate must be provided if you are absent from an exam due to illness.

Students of certain degree programs can choose to take their first attempt at an examination on the alternate dates. However, if you take an examination for the first time on the alternate date and subsequently fail it or are ill, you cannot retake it in the same semester.
