Professor König has been appointed as a second member of the Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Mannheim, to become a member of the Leopoldina. Prof. Dr. Sabine Sonnentag has been appointed a member of the Leopoldina in 2011 and three former Professors of the Faculty are members of the Leopoldina: Prof. Dr. Hartmut Esser, Prof. Dr. Walter Müller and Prof. Dr. Franz Urban Pappi.
