Mannheim Psychologist Sabine Sonnentag Is Among the Most Cited Scientists Worldwide

According to the current list of “Highly Cited Researchers”, published yearly by Clarivate, Mannheim psychologist Professor Dr. Sabine Sonnentag belongs to the top 1 percent of the most cited researchers worldwide. Sonnentag is listed in the “Cross-Field” category, which recognizes researchers whose work is of great interdisciplinary relevance.

The “Highly Cited Researchers” list includes the world’s most frequently cited scientists in 20 disciplines across the natural, life and social sciences as well as in the “Cross-Field” category. Researchers must have published “Highly Cited Papers” to be included in this prestigious list. These studies are among the most cited publications in their field and year of publication. The citation frequency is an important indicator of the scientific influence of a publication.

In addition to the citation activity, a qualitative analysis and expert assessments are also included in the evaluation. For the current list, publications from 2013 to 2023 were evaluated.
