The paintings and collages exhibited in the Schloss address different motives and topics. The black-and-white collages on the ground floor, Ostflügel, are supposed to depict today’s flood of communication and its impact on society. The colorful paintings in the halls of the library administration at Schneckenhof Nord as well as at the Central Lending Library at Schloss Westflügel reflect the artist’s openness towards artistic processes.
Ariane Hagl grew up in an artistic environment. Her father was artist Fritz Hagl of Munich. After having studied psychology and pedagogics in Florence as well as art therapy in Paris, she devoted herself entirely to her art. Since 2003, she has been working as a painter. Ariane Hagl also studied large-format painting under Peter Casagrande. Today, she lives alternately in Munich and on the island of Elba, Italy.
