Senate Committee on Teaching

The Senate Committee on Teaching supervises teaching and the framework conditions for teaching at the University of Mannheim.

The members of the Senate Committee on Teaching are involved in planning the development of teaching and in dealing with teaching-related questions which affect all schools, for example questions on exam organization. In addition, the Committee comments on questions relating to applicants who have just left school or students who have just started their program of study at the University of Mannheim. The Senate committee is also responsible for reporting on teaching at the university.

Like the Senate, the Senate Committee on Teaching meets three times per semester.

The Vice President for Teaching is the ex officio chair. Six deans for student affairs and seven members appointed by the Senate are also members of the committee.

The Senate Committee on Teaching has 14 members who are eligible to vote.
