12th Conference of the Society for Empirical Educational Research

The conference of the Society for Empirical Educational Research will take place from 27–29 January 2025 in Mannheim. The conference for young researchers is on 30 January. The topic of the event is: “EDUCATION as the key to social challenges. Interdisciplinary contributions from educational research”.

The congress of the Society for Empirical Educational Research is the largest congress for empirical educational research in the DACH region. Keynote speakers will be Prof. Heike Solga (WZB Berlin Social Science Center) and Prof. Emilia Del Bono (Institute of Social and Economic Research, University of Essex). Another key event of the congress is a panel discussion moderated by renowned education journalist Jan-Martin Wiarda on the importance of evidence for education policy, planning, management and practice.

The conference is jointly organized by the University of Mannheim, MZES and ZEW. The conference presidents are Prof. Oliver Dickhäuser and Prof. Karina Karst as well as Prof. Andreas Rausch, who will also be responsible for the conference for young researchers on 30 January.
