Shaping Digitization 2022 Fairly – Symposium -

Opportunities for influence and shaping from the perspective of female students and scientists

 

Call for Papers: For this year's symposium on 11.11.2022, the Verband Baden-Württembergischer Wissenschaftlerinnen is looking for contributions from female scientists and students who deal with the topic of digitization in a wider sense and would like to present their study and research results.

The VBWW (Verband Baden-Württembergischer Wissenschaftlerinnen) is looking for contributions for this year's symposium. The Symposium on 11. November 2022 at the University of Heidelberg, contributions on the topic of digitization in the broader sense from female scientists and students who would like to present their study and research results. The focus will be on the benefits, advantages and opportunities of digitization. The symposium will focus on three main topics in the context of digitization:

1. work / compatibility / participation
2. health / care / medicine
3. social dimension / society / ethics / law

In doing so, VBWW wants to consciously focus on that part of digitalization that addresses the benefits, advantages and opportunities for more fairness and expand knowledge about it. Many female students and young scientists are dealing with this topic. This involves algorithms, speech recognition, translations, medicine, robotics, AI or social, legal and philosophical issues, such as in the context of avoiding hate and agitation. Opportunities and risks are becoming visible, our everyday life is increasingly affected and in some cases already determined by it.

The VBWW would like to show the scientific contribution of female students and scientists in these research fields and invites you to apply. A special concern of the VBWW is to promote young female scientists and to make their scientific achievements visible.
The deadline for applications is 31. August 2022.
