International QS Ranking: The University of Mannheim Is Germany’s Best University in Economics and Business Administration
In the worldwide comparison of the “QS World University Rankings by Subject 2021”, the University of Mannheim ranked number 91 in the Social Sciences and Management category. In the areas of Accounting & Finance, Business & Management Studies, and Economics & Econometrics it ranks first in Germany once again.

In the current “QS World University Ranking by Subject”, the University of Mannheim has been named the second best German university in the Social Sciences and Management category.
In this category, the University of Mannheim was evaluated in five different areas. It was particularly successful in the areas of Accounting & Finance, Business & Management Studies, and Economics & Econometrics, where it ranked first in Germany in each case. Overall, Mannheim is hence the best-ranked German university in business and economics. Moreover, in Politics & International Studies, the University of Mannheim ranked number 2, in Sociology number 3. In Psychology, which is assigned to the Life Sciences & Medicine category in the QS Ranking, the University of Mannheim again ranked fourth in Germany.
The “QS World University Rankings by Subject“ are published every year and examine more than 4,200 universities worldwide in terms of their research reputation, the number and quality of their publications, and the reputation of graduates with employers.
