    Notes on Uploading Files

    Only documents uploaded in the application portal can be considered in the selection process.

    Foreign documents can only be accepted in either German or English. If your documents are in another language, an additional translation into German or English is necessary. All records and transcripts of records need to be translated by a sworn translator.

    • Upload files in PDF format

      Please note that you can only upload files in PDF format. Uploading files in other formats such as jpg or similar is not possible.

      Information on editing PDF files can be found on the Internet. For legal reasons, we are unfortunately not allowed to give you any assistance in this respect.

    • Make sure your documents are easily readable

      Please make sure that your documents are easily readable. If we cannot read your documents that are relevant for admission to the desired degree program, it will not be possible to check them and you will unfortunately have to be excluded from the admissions process. Please also avoid PDF files where documents are upside down or scanned at random.

    • Only upload one PDF file for each upload field

      Please note that you can only upload one PDF file at a time for each upload field. This means that if you want to upload several documents to one field, you must first combine them into one PDF file.

    • Scan documents completely

      Please always scan documents completely. Some documents contain essential information on the back.

    • Pay attention to maximum file size

      The upload fields are limited in size. So, if your file exceeds the maximum file size, you will need to resize it first.

    • No changes possible after completing the core personal data section

      You cannot edit your uploaded documents after completing the core personal data section. A subsequent upload of documents is only possible after you have deleted all submitted applications in our online application portal.

    • Use one document to prove several requirements

      After you have completed the online application form, you need to upload the relevant documents.

    • Upload module catalog

      If you wish to apply for a master's program or an advanced semester you will be asked to upload the module catalog or state the website where the module catalog can be found within the questionnaire for each program.
