The VW Foundation granted funding for a joint project „CAIUS: Consequences of AI for Urban Societies“ of the Chair for Statistics and Methodology (Ruben Bach, Christoph Kern and Frauke Kreuter) and the Chair of Artificial Intelligence (Prof. Stuckenschmidt) in cooperation with Prof. Eckert from HdM Stuttgart with 1.5 Mio Euro over the next 4 years. The project is part of the program „Künstliche Intelligenz – Ihre Auswirkungen auf die Gesellschaft von morgen“ and will start in 2021. The funding provides the basis for continuing the work that has already been carried out based on seed funding by the VW Foundation and the MZES Institute.
